Mot\u00f6rhead<\/strong><\/a> to release Under C\u00f6ver in September 2017
\nCovers compilation to include unreleased version of David Bowie\u2019s \u201cHeroes\u201d<\/p>\n

ONE THING Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee liked to do over their years together in Mot\u00f6rhead, was grab a favourite song by another artist and give it a good old fashioned \u2018Mot\u00f6rheading\u2019. To run them through the Mot\u00f6rizer if you will. To rock them, roll them and even give them an extra twist and edge.<\/p>\n

In celebration of some of those finest moments, the band will release Under C\u00f6ver, a collection of some of their best covers, and a collection which will include the previously unreleased version of David Bowie\u2019s timeless classic \u201cHeroes\u201d. Recorded during the Bad Magic sessions in 2015 by Cameron Webb, and was one of the last songs the band recorded together.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be,\u201d says Phil Campbell, \u201cand Lemmy ended up loving our version.\u201d
\n\u201cHe was very, very proud of it,\u201d says Mikkey Dee, \u201cnot only because it turned out so well but because it was fun! Which is what projects like this should be \u2013 fun!\u201d<\/p>\n

To that ethic, the rest of the album contains loud and proud, raucous and raging Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll takes on the likes of \u201cGod Save The Queen\u201d (Sex Pistols), \u201cCat Scratch Fever\u201d (Ted Nugent), \u201cRockaway Beach,\u201d (The Ramones), Breaking The Law\u201d (Judas Priest) and \u201cWhiplash\u201d (Metallica) which earned the band a Grammy in 2005 for Best Metal Performance.
\n\u201cWe were happy with them at the time and we\u2019re happy with them now!\u201d affirms Campbell, whilst Dee says, \u201cWe should remember that it\u2019s about having some fun with songs that we all loved.\u201d<\/p>\n
