La exposici\u00f3n combina una presentaci\u00f3n cronol\u00f3gica con un enfoque tem\u00e1tico, estructurado en una serie de cap\u00edtulos principales en la carrera del artista, con \u00e9nfasis en dos momentos clave: el per\u00edodo de 1923 a 1933, cuando Torres-Garc\u00eda particip\u00f3 en varios movimientos de vanguardia moderna temprana europea mientras establec\u00eda su propio estilo pictogr\u00e1fico\/constructivista caracter\u00edstico; y de 1935 a 1943, cuando, de regreso a Uruguay, produjo uno de los repertorios m\u00e1s sorprendentes de abstracci\u00f3n sint\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>Torres-Garc\u00eda es uno de los artistas m\u00e1s complejos e importantes de la primera mitad del siglo XX, y su obra abri\u00f3 caminos transformadores para el arte moderno en ambos lados del Atl\u00e1ntico.
